Screenings

Concerned about your child's speech or language development?  We offer FREE 15 minute screenings.  If a follow-up evaluation is recommended based on screening results, it is up to you whether or not you would like to schedule a full assessment.

Evaluations

We offer a range of evaluations to determine whether or not your child would benefit from therapy.  Evaluations typically last 60-90 minutes, but vary based on each child and their needs.  Once the evaluation session is completed, an individualized treatment plan will be created for your child.  This is an official document provided to parents at the next session.  If your child has already been evaluated by another clinic, this can be used to determine therapy goals.  However, it is up to our therapist to determine if additional testing is needed.

Language Therapy

If your child demonstrates delays in either their expressive language- how well they communicate their wants and needs, or receptive language-how well they understand language spoken to them, they may qualify for language therapy.

Articulation Therapy

Some children have difficulty pronouncing certain speech sounds, making it hard for others to understand them.  For these children, articulation therapy is provided to help with overall intelligibility.

Feeding Therapy

We also provide feeding therapy which may include therapy that focuses on oral-motor difficulties, as well as behavioral feeding therapy to address feeding aversions.

Stuttering Therapy

Does your child exhibit dysfluencies in their speech?  If these disruptions are affecting their ability to easily communicate with others, your child may benefit from therapy to reduce the frequency of these dysfluencies.

Orofacial Myology

Orofacial Myology can address things such as tongue thrust, thumb sucking, pre- and post-tongue tie release, etc.

Frequency

The length and frequency of therapy sessions are determined after the initial assessment and depend on each child and their needs.  Frequency may change as your child makes progress.
